1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use onepagestudios.co.uk and when you hire OnePage Studios to design, build or host a website. OnePage Studios is a trading name of Kelvin Amarelle, a sole trader based in New South Wales, Australia (“we”, “us”, “our”). “You” means the person or business engaging us.
Your written quote forms part of these terms. If your quote and these terms disagree, the quote takes priority for that project.
2. Quotes & acceptance
- After you submit an enquiry, we'll send a written quote setting out the package, what's included, the price, currency and an estimated timeline.
- Quotes are valid for 30 days unless they say otherwise.
- A contract is formed when you accept the quote in writing (email is fine) and we receive your deposit.
- Prices shown on our website are a guide. Your quote confirms the final price. Amounts shown in A$ and US$ on the website are approximate conversions from GBP.
3. Packages & scope
We'll deliver the work described in your quote and chosen package (Starter, Professional or Bespoke). Anything not listed (for example extra pages, copywriting from scratch, photography, logo design, e-commerce, or integrations beyond those agreed) is outside the scope. We're happy to quote for extra work separately before doing it.
4. Fees & payment
- Deposit: 50% of the project price is payable before work begins. It secures your place in our schedule and covers initial design work.
- Balance: the remaining 50% is payable once you've approved the final website and before it's launched or handed over.
- Currency: fees are charged in GBP unless your quote states another currency. You're responsible for any bank, transfer or currency conversion charges.
- Taxes: your quote will state whether any taxes apply.
- Late payment: invoices are due within 7 days unless stated otherwise. If payment is late, we may pause work, and we won't launch or hand over the website until it's paid in full.
5. Your responsibilities
- Provide the text, images, logos and information we need, accurately and on time.
- Make sure you own, or have permission to use, everything you give us, and that it doesn't infringe anyone's rights or break any law. You're responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content on your website.
- Give feedback promptly and in one consolidated set per revision round.
- Provide access to any accounts we need (domain, hosting, booking platforms). Please change shared passwords after the project ends.
If we don't hear from you for 30 days during a project, we may pause it. If we still haven't heard from you after a further 30 days, we may close the project. In that case the deposit covers the work completed and isn't refunded, and restarting may need a new quote.
6. Revisions
Each package includes a set number of revision rounds: Starter (one), Professional (two) and Bespoke (three), unless your quote says otherwise. A revision round is one consolidated set of changes within the agreed scope. Further rounds, or changes that alter the agreed scope or design direction, may be charged at the rate in your quote.
7. Timelines
Timelines in quotes are estimates and depend on receiving your content and feedback on time. We're not responsible for delays caused by late content, late feedback or third-party services, but we'll keep you updated if anything changes.
8. Launch & aftercare
- Once the balance is paid, we'll publish the website to your hosting (or ours, on the Care Plan) or hand over the files, together with the launch support set out in your package.
- If you report a defect in our work within 14 days of launch, we'll fix it free of charge. This doesn't cover new changes, content updates, or problems caused by third parties or by edits made by someone else.
- We set up basic on-page SEO foundations, but we can't guarantee search rankings, traffic, enquiries or sales.
9. Hosting & Care Plan
- The optional Hosting & Care Plan is a monthly service, typically from £35 per month. The exact price depends on your website's requirements and is confirmed in your quote.
- It's billed monthly in advance and continues until cancelled. Either of us can cancel with 30 days' written notice.
- What's included (for example hosting, domain management and an allowance of small content updates) is set out in your quote. Work beyond the allowance is quoted separately.
- Where possible, domains are registered in your name. When a plan ends, and provided your account is paid up, we'll help transfer your domain and website files to you or your new provider.
- Hosting relies on third-party providers. We'll take reasonable care, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted availability.
If you don't take the Care Plan, hosting and domain costs are paid by you directly to your chosen providers, under their own terms.
10. Ownership & portfolio
- Once you've paid in full, you own the final design of your website and its content, apart from the items below.
- You keep ownership of all content and branding you provide to us.
- We keep ownership of our pre-existing tools, code, templates and know-how, and grant you a permanent licence to use them as part of your website.
- Third-party items (such as fonts, stock images, plugins and platforms) are licensed under their own terms.
- Until full payment, all rights in our work stay with us.
- We may show your completed website in our portfolio and on social media, and add a small “site by OnePage Studios” credit, unless you ask us not to in writing.
11. Cancellation
You can cancel a project at any time by telling us in writing. You'll pay for work completed up to that point. The deposit covers early-stage work and isn't refundable once work has started, except where the law requires a refund. If work completed goes beyond what the deposit covers, we'll invoice the difference, up to the full project price.
UK consumers: if you're hiring us as a consumer (not for business purposes), you may have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. If you ask us to start work within that period and then cancel, you'll pay a proportionate amount for the work done.
We may end a project if you seriously break these terms (for example by not paying, or by asking us to publish unlawful content). You'll pay for work completed up to that point.
12. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights you have that can't legally be excluded, including consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law and your statutory rights as a UK consumer. We also don't limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to that:
- our total liability to you for any project is limited to the fees you've paid us for that project (or, for the Care Plan, the fees paid in the previous 3 months);
- we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, business or data;
- we aren't responsible for failures or changes in third-party services, such as hosting, domain registrars, booking platforms or form providers;
- where the Australian Consumer Law allows, our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee is limited to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.
13. Using this website
The content on this website is for general information. The example websites shown are concept projects that demonstrate our approach; they aren't real client websites. We try to keep information and prices accurate, but they may change without notice. Please don't misuse the site, for example by sending spam through our forms or trying to disrupt it. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
14. Law & disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of New South Wales have jurisdiction. If you're a consumer living in the UK or another country, you also keep the protection of any mandatory laws of your country, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
If something goes wrong, please contact us first. Most issues can be sorted out quickly by talking.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you accept a quote applies to that project. Questions? Use the enquiry form or message us on Instagram or Facebook.
